Upcoming™ MUA | Tiara Wada

AbjTeensBlog is proud to bring to our viewers a new sector introduced to this blog which we call AbjTeensBlog's Upcoming. We noticed that we've been focusing much on those who are away for school in other countries and forgetting those young teens who are now the life-lines of Abuja. So we stood back and decided to start this up. Now our first ever young lady is the gorgeous 15 years old, Tiara who has devoted her humble self to makeup and at a very young age and even went to train herself on it. Let me not talk too much
Ladies and GentleTeens, Upcoming™ MakeUpArtiste | Tiara Wada

-Who is Tiara Wada?
My name is Tiara Wada. I'm fifteen years old and was born on the sixth of March. I hail from Kogi State but have an Igbo mother. I'm an only child. And I am in Year 11 at The Regent Secondary School.

-Of all the things young girls like yourself go into, why did you choose makeup?
Makeup is something I've always been interested in. I like its practicality, seeing as it's used by most women and girls on a daily basis.

-Did you get backing from your family when you decided to go into this?
My family has been very supportive of my choice. My mother wanted me to do something I could benefit from so when I told her about my interest in makeup she helped me find a school. My aunties were also very helpful as they allowed me to practice on them and use them as models every now and then.

-Heard you went to learn makeup professionally. Like most young people that want to do a particular thing, most go on the internet while some just keep learning from other makeup artists but in your case it is different. Why did you decide to go to a school to train yourself on makeup?
I prefer to be taught by professionals. I used videos and books but It wasn't enough for me. Having someone there to correct your mistakes and tell you how to improve on them was better for me. Going to House of Tara expanded my knowledge of makeup by teaching me not only how to apply makeup it also taught me about the basics which affects it all in the end.

-What intrigues you the most about makeup?
It's ability to transform people.

-Do you make money out of what you do?
I make a reasonable amount for a beginner.

-Have you had any trying moments?
I can't say I've had any yet.

-How is your everyday life knowing full well the status of your dad?
Life goes on, no matter what position we are in. Sometimes it can be nerve wrecking but I just have to hope for the best

-When you heard about your dad's accident how did you feel?
At the time I was out of the country with my mother. I was informed by a friend who told me that the crash had only one survivor( luckily it was an exaggerated rumor). I can't say it was the best time for me and honestly I was really scared but with the help of family and friends I got through it.

-What's Tiara doing if not doing makeup?
Right now focusing on school.

-What's Miss Wada's relationship status?
---------

-Who's your role model?
My mother's self reliance inspires me

-What has been your most successful makeup job and which has been your worst?
---------

-As an MUA who would you like to work with?
I would love to work with Jide of St. Ola, Amra Olevic and Danessa Myricks

-Contacts(Facebook, Email, Twitter, etc.)
Twitter: @tiarawada
Instagram: @_tiarawada
Snapchat: tiara_wada
Email: wadatiara@yahoo.com

-What do you feel MUA's lack in Nigeria?
I feel we don't get enough access to products and when we do they are unnecessarily expensive.

-Where do you see yourself in makeup in the next 5 years?
I would like to improve training, work in a makeup store preferably Makeup Art Cosmetics(MAC) for the experience and hopefully become a prominent makeup artist in Nigeria.

-What's your advice for young MUA's like yourself?
I just think they should keep practicing and improve themselves in anyway possible.

  2. Apples truly dont fall far from their mothers. What a waste of time and effort. Back to reality, now that there is no status of father to brag about.
